The event, which opened on September 11 in the faculty lobby, offers a series of reflections on the intersection of design, creativity, and the role of digital tools in artistic production, while also revisiting the discussion surroundingthe relationship between the work and its creator.
The exhibition will be open to the public through September 21, with visiting hours from 8:00 a. m. to 10:30 p.m. Admission is free.
The Architect Gastón Boero, dean of the School of Architecture, organized this exhibition to explore the dialogue between creativity and cutting-edge digital technologies in the age of artificial intelligence and generative automation.

In his works, Boero explores the interplay between imagination, memory, and technology, taking the viewer on a vibrant journey through imaginary landscapes and realistic settings rich in textures, colors, and stories.

At the same time, the exhibition invites visitors to immerse themselves in the profound and timely—yet also endless—debate surrounding the influence of technology on the design of the work and the creative process. In this regard, Boero noted:
With the development of computer-aided design software and, more recently, software powered by generative artificial intelligence, the traditional relationship between the architect and the building within the design process appears to be under scrutiny.
In this regard, the exhibition raises a series of intriguing questions: How is the relationship between the creator and the created constructed in the digital age? Where does authorship lie in a work that is the result of digital processes and algorithms? Can the unique and unrepeatable coexist with the serial and varied within the same creative process?

The works by Gastón Boero featured in this exhibition reflect the artist’s thoughts on these issues. In his works, autobiographical elements, humor, and creativity intertwine with algorithms to bring unique visual compositions to life.

Each work is a testament to how digital technology can expand and enrich the creative process and the connection between the artist and the work. Regarding his vision for the exhibition, titled I Never Went to the Countryside, but I Did Go to the Beach, Boero remarked:
The exhibition is a reflection on the use of digital tools applied to scenes from the countryside and the beach, where autobiographical elements blend with humor and personal experiences.
Not only does it offer a glimpse into digital creativity in design and creative production, but it also invites the public to consider how technology is transforming the relationship between the designer and the work.
This exhibition, which will run through September 21 with extremely flexible hours (from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.), demonstrates how technology and imagination can converge to shape new frontiers—not only in art and design, but also in the critical analysis and examination of the nature of the artwork in the digital age.
