Barros holds a Master's degree in Digital Arts from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona and serves as Chief Creative Officer at the Grey Uruguay agency.
On Tuesday, September 4, the artist gave a talk about the exhibition at the ORT Centro Auditorium.
The exhibition consists of three computers displaying a series of interactive and/or contemplative works created by Fabián Barros and his collaborators, using exclusively digital tools that incorporate image and sound design as well as programming.
The goal is to offer a playful, non-utilitarian perspective on the digital medium, helping participants view the computer as an expressive tool and discover new facets and possibilities of the medium, both technically and creatively.
The lecture was aimed specifically at students, future engineers, designers, communicators, and artists. During the event, the speaker provided an overview of the various movements and trends in digital arts, their characteristics, and their applications.
