The School of Communication and Design donated the School of Visual Arts’ “Underground Images” exhibition to the National Library

The exhibition has of the best posters created by SVA since 1947 for New York City’s extensive subway system.

On June 17, 2019, the School of Communication and Design at Universidad ORT Uruguay the exhibition *Imágenes Subterráneas* from the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York to the National Library, where it now forms part of its cultural collection.

The event was attended by the Director General of the National Library, Esther Paidós, and the Dean of the School of Communication and Design, Eduardo Hipogrosso.

Through the faculty’s efforts, SVA agreed to donate the exclusive materials and make them available to the general public through the National Library’s curatorial team.

The exhibition, which showcases the history of SVA’s academic output and the collective talent of its faculty in design, illustration, and photography, was presented exclusively in our country at Universidad ORT Uruguay February 26 to March 22 of this year.
