ORT School of Engineering Hosts Open Lectures on Java

On May 26, ORT’s School of Engineering launched a series of open lectures on the Java programming language, led by teaching assistants from the Programming Department.

The talks will be held in the ORT Downtown Campus laboratory.

The presenters, who are teaching assistants in the Programming Department, are advanced students in the Systems Engineering and Systems Science programs at Universidad ORT Uruguay.

The lecture series will consist of a total of four lectures.

  • The first talk, titled "Robocode," will be presented by Daniel Kacowicz and Juan José Silveira.
  • On June 2, Fernando Almeida will give a second lecture titled "Applets."
  • On June 13, Rosario Monteverde, Juan Espinosa, and Claudio Montañez will give a presentation on "Mail."
  • The series concludes on June 16 with the talk "Connectivity," presented by Carlos Moureille and Carlos Ibarra.
