On May 17, 2019, a farewell ceremony was held at the Pocitos campus for the seventh cohort of students in the Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish program under the Joint Program with Chinese Universities, who had completed Universidad ORT Uruguay third year of studies at Universidad ORT Uruguay . The students in attendance were from Harbin Normal University, Guizhou University of Finance and Economics, and Beihua University.
The goal of the program is to improve Spanish communication skills and develop intercultural skills.
The ceremony was attended by Julio Fernández, Ph.D., Vice Rector for Academic Universidad ORT Uruguay at Universidad ORT Uruguay; Dr. María Azpiroz, Director of International Relations at the university; Miriam Kemna, M.A., Coordinator of Student Exchange; and Ms. Tang Xiaoqin, Head of Cultural Affairs at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China.
