The winners of FIA'21 have been announced

This year, 170 short films were submitted, and 46 were selected for the official competition. The results were announced at the awards ceremony, which was streamed on YouTube.

The 15th edition of the International Animation Festival (FIA ’21), organized by the School of Communication and Design at Universidad ORT Uruguay, took place on September 13, 14, and 15, 2021.

The festival featured 170 short films from Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Ecuador, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Israel, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Russia, Singapore, and Uruguay.

The festival's official selection consisted of 46 short films. The winners were:

Grand Jury Prize / Best Student Short Film

Title: The Tears of the Seine

Directors: Yanis Belaid, Eliott Benard, Nicolas Mayeur, Etienne Moulin, Hadrien Pinot, Lisa Vicente, Philippine Singer, and Alice Letailleur

Best Experimental Animated Short Film

Name: Abril

Directors: Eliana Fernández and Sofía Caponnetto, senior students in the Bachelor’s Program in Animation and Video Games at Universidad ORT Uruguay in Universidad ORT Uruguay.
