First Graduating Class of the Certificate in University Teaching Program

On July 23, the graduation ceremony was held for the first 22 teachers to complete the Certificate in University Teaching.

The Certificate in University Teaching is offered by the Institute of Education and is designed for faculty members from all departments at Universidad ORT Uruguay.

Its aim is to provide a theoretical framework within which educators can interpret educational practice by analyzing educational models appropriate for university teaching.

During the ceremony, a heartfelt tribute was paid to Dr. Enrique Lorenzo, who passed away last April.

Speakers included the president of Universidad ORT Uruguay, Dr. Rebeca Sobol; the rector, Dr. Jorge Grunberg; the academic coordinator of the Department of Education, Dr. Edith Litwin; Prof. Susana García; and, on behalf of the graduating faculty, Prof. Anahir Benelli.

The second sessionof this certificate program will begin this coming August.
