“Academia and industry must work together to promote growth in this field, which needs more trained professionals. Our goal is to provide solutions, and that is why we organize these kinds of events,” said Álvaro Lamé, president of Cuti.

Cuti presented Universidad ORT Uruguay b-IT project to officials at Universidad ORT Uruguay , aiming to train 4,000 technicians over four years in a field with zero unemployment.

This program would be implemented through a project funded with $4,000,000 from the National Institute of Employment and Vocational Training (INEFOP) and $1,000,000 contributed by the industry.

“We want you to learn about our plans so we can all work together,” said Aníbal Gonda, vice president of Cuti’s Human Capital Commission.

For his part, Fernández expressed his willingness and enthusiasm to contribute to the proposals and even to work with the network of campuses that Universidad ORT Uruguay in the interior of the country.

Grünberg, meanwhile, emphasized the importance of “bringing academia and industry together to promote more and better training in information technology.”

The rector a series of complementary ideas aimed at “strengthening the sector and helping to improve educational offerings.”
