At Sinergia, some 50 video game enthusiasts and professionals gathered for 48 hours for a new edition of GGJ.
On Friday afternoon—just like at the other venues in more than 100 countries—they were given the prompt they were to work on: “What does home mean to you?”
With that as a starting point, programmers, artists, animators, sound designers, producers, musicians, and project managers worked in groups for two days. They created brand-new games, developed them, and presented them at the end of Sunday’s session. The games are now available to view and download on the GGJ website.
“A wide variety of things came up; many inevitably took a humorous turn,” said Rodrigo Alem Fernández, one of the event organizers.
The turnout, as always, was great. For the first time at our venue, we played a board game: Alto Planeta. There were a lot of new people there too, which is always nice to see.
