Alejandro Lozdziejski, a graduate with a degree in Systems Engineering, and Nadim Curi, a graduate with a Master’s degree in Technology Business Management—ICT, were selected as two of the 35 most outstanding young people under 35 in technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship in Latin America in 2017 for their startups Sur 3D and CityCop, respectively.
Those selected by MIT Technology Review are divided into five categories: Inventors, Visionaries, Entrepreneurs, Humanitarians, and Pioneers. Lozdziejski was recognized in the Entrepreneurs category alongside six other young people, while Curi was named one of the seven Visionaries.
They all gathered on November 16 at a regional event held at the Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City, where they showcased their technologies.
Sur 3D makes 3D printing accessible to everyone with software that allows users to print their own designs independently and without technical expertise.
City Cop is a social media app that alerts users to crimes to help improve public safety. The app, which has been in operation since 2014, allows anyone to submit an alert.
