On April 26, 2024, the results of the “Young Contemporary Art” call for entries by Montevideo’s SUBTE were announced. The jury selected four projects as winners, including *Cuando no existan más los jardines*by Silvina Cortés, who holds a bachelor’s degree in Design, Art, and Technology.

As part of the celebrations marking Montevideo’s 300th anniversary, the SUBTE Exhibition Center of the Montevideo City Government (IM) invited artists between the ages of 18 and 30 to submit exhibition proposals for the gallery located on Plaza Juan Pedro Fabini, to be scheduled between June and December 2024.

Cortés' proposal aims to examine mental health issues in general and, in particular, those affecting young people in the LGBTQ+ community.
