"Graduado" Won the Audience Award for Best Short Film at the 19th Punta del Este Jewish Film Festival

My Kippah is about an opportunistic thief who tries to steal a Sefer Torah (Torah scrolls or Pentateuch) valued at 100,000 euros, but his plan goes awry when it is discovered that he is Jewish.

The short film My Kippah, directed by Ilan Rosenfeld, a graduate of the Bachelor’s program in Audiovisual Communication at Universidad ORT Uruguay, was awarded the Audience Award for Best Short Film at the 19th Punta del Este Jewish Film Festival.

The film shared the award with the short film *Kaddish* (ex aequo), directed by Razid Season (United States, 2019).

The film was screened on February 6, 2022, at the Creative Cluster Development as part of the festival. The Punta del Este Jewish Film Festival, which took place from February 5 to 9, is supported each year by Universidad ORT Uruguay.

Ilan Rosenfeld has written and directed several short films, such as *Ir*, which already explored existential and philosophical themes. He also directed *Olímpicos* (a feature-length documentary) and the fiction film *Abrazar a Nelfa*, which is currently in development.
