February 14, 2020
Two projects built in our country stand out, both designed by graduates of the School of Architecture at Universidad ORT Uruguay.

In February, ArchDaily, the digital platform for architecture, design, and landscape architecture, announced the nominees for its annual Building of the Year 2020. The two projects selected from Uruguay were created by ORT architecture graduates.

The first of these projects is Los Pilares School, designed by Dovat Arquitectos, an architectural firm led by Carolina Dovat, an architect and graduate of the School of Architecture.

The second Uruguayan project is the Rep II house by the Vivo Trípodi studio, located in Canelones. The studio is led by architects Bernardo Vivo and Guzmán Trípodi, both graduates of Universidad ORT Uruguay. For this project, they were joined by architects Soledad Casarotti, Valentina Zecchi, and Sebastián Mengot, the latter two of whom are also graduates of the School of Architecture.
