InMediaciones de la Comunicación, the peer-reviewed and indexed academic journal published since 1998 by the School of Communication at the Faculty of Communication and Design of Universidad ORT Uruguay, has been accepted into the Ibero-American Network for Innovation and Scientific Knowledge (REDIB).
The journal is published twice a year and is available in both print and digital formats, thereby complying with international standards for academic journals as well as those of national and international journals.
The journal’s purpose is to publish original, unpublished articles and to disseminate theoretical and research work in the field of the social sciences, with a particular focus on communication and related disciplines, processes of social mediatization, and the study of media phenomena.
The content is intended for researchers, faculty members, and undergraduate and graduate students, and consists of written material that is pre-selected by the editorial board and peer-reviewed through a double-blind process involving external reviewers.
The inclusion of *Inmediaciones* in REDIB will further expand the journal’s reach, as this network serves not only the academic community and the general public but also decision-makers, administrators, and science policy analysts.
