The results of the 2018 calls for applications for the National System of Researchers (SNI) have been published. The new appointments and renewals for researchers and faculty members in the School of Engineering are as follows:
- Dr. Andrés Ferragut, an associate professor in the Department of Networks, has been promoted to Level II in Engineering and Technology within the National System of Researchers for a four-year term.
- Dr. Álvaro Tasistro, professor of Computer Science and academic coordinator of the Master’s in Engineering program, has been reappointed to Level I in the Natural and Exact Sciences for a three-year term.
- Dr. André Fonseca, academic coordinator of the Electronics, Telecommunications, and Electrical Engineering program, has been reappointed to the Engineering and Technology Initiation level for a three-year term.
- Dr. Sergio Yovine, academic coordinator of the Specialization Diploma in Big Data Analytics and professor of Artificial Intelligence, was appointed as a Level II researcher in Natural and Exact Sciences for a three-year term.
- Dr. Ernesto Copello, a professor of Computer Science, has been appointed as a junior researcher in Engineering and Technology for a three-year term.
