Pursuant to a resolution issued by the board of directors of the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII) on May 24, 2023, regarding the 2022 Call for Applications of the National System of Researchers (SNI), two researchers from the School of Engineering were promoted and admitted to the system, respectively:
Dr. Cecilia Ortiz, an associate professor of Protein Technology and researcher, was promoted to Level I of the SNI for a three-year term in the field of Medical and Health Sciences—Health Biotechnology.
Dr. Gerardo Matturro, associate academic coordinator of the Bachelor’s Degree in Systems and a researcher, has been reinstated to the SNI at Level I in the Engineering and Technology category.
As explained on its website, the National System of Researchers promotes “the classification and financial incentives for researchers, the generation of knowledge across all fields, and the strengthening and expansion of the national scientific community.”
