Our participation in Intermodal South America 2026, held in São Paulo, Brazil, from April 13 to 15, 2026, was an invaluable experience that helped us continue to bridge the gap between academia and the regional logistics ecosystem.
As part of the Uruguay Logístico delegation, Erika Lanzetta, M.A.—academic coordinator of the Foreign Trade Analyst andLogistics and Supply Chain Management Analyst programs—representedUniversidad ORT Uruguay during a packed schedule that combined networking opportunities, learning sessions, and public-private exchanges.
During the trade show, the delegation had direct exposure to industry trends, innovative solutions, and key players, in a setting that brought together leading figures from across Latin America. As part of the activities, the delegation visited the Port of Santos, one of the continent’s major logistics hubs, which provided a firsthand look at its operations and importance in international trade.
At the same time, representatives attended the event “Uruguay: Logistics Opportunities for Brazil,” held at the São Paulo Commercial Association. The event helped strengthen bilateral ties and identify new opportunities for cooperation between the two countries.
From the Universidad ORT Uruguay, support for these types of initiatives is part of a strategy aimed at training professionals with a global perspective, connected to the realities of the sector, and prepared to perform in complex and dynamic environments.
INALOG’s outstanding organization of the event, along with the synergy generated within the delegation, underscore the importance of coordinated efforts among public, private, and academic stakeholders in positioning Uruguay as a competitive logistics hub in the region.
