On November 1, 2005, the United Nations General Assembly decided to designate January 27 as the annual International Day of Commemoration in memory of the victims of the Holocaust. On that date in 1945, Soviet troops liberated the Nazi concentration and extermination camp at Auschwitz-Birkenau.
To mark this day, we invite you to join the “Nosotros recordamos / We Remember” campaign by taking a photo of yourself holding a sign with that phrase and posting it on social media with the hashtags #NosotrosRecordamos #WeRemember and tagging @CCIUruguay.
