October 14, 2021

The research project "Adaptive Charging Network for Electric Vehicles" by Dr. Andrés Ferragut, an associate professor of Data Networks and a member of the Applied Mathematics for Telecommunications and Energy research group, was approved for funding by ANII's 2020 Energy Sector Fund.

Dr. Fernando Paganini, associate dean for research and professor of Telecommunications Theory, is participating in the project as a researcher.

This research project was one of nine proposals approved for funding out of the 43 ideas submitted. It will last 12 months and aims to explore ways to install electric vehicle chargers in a flexible manner using optimization tools, taking into account growing demand and energy availability.

The objective of the Energy Sector Fund is to support research, development, and innovation projects that enhance or strengthen the capabilities of the national energy sector, either directly or indirectly.
