The goal of the 34th SOMECE International Symposium 2021, “Digital Transformation and Educational Innovation,” is to reflect on and analyze the needs of educational communities in order to create new ubiquitous and timeless techno-pedagogical environments—with the aim of continuously transforming and innovating teaching and learning processes.
This event is organized by the Mexican Society for Computing in Education (SOMECE), the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), the Union of Universities of Latin America and the Caribbean (UDUAL), and the Universidad ORT Uruguay —which will serve as the event’s virtual host.
The symposium will feature keynote speeches and panel discussions led by renowned experts in the field of international education. It will also include workshops and presentations designed to help participants develop new skills and broaden their perspective on the use of ICT in education.
It will take place online from October 27 to 30, 2021, and will be streamed on the YouTube channel of the Universidad ORT Uruguay of Universidad ORT Uruguay Institute of Education.
The call for submissions is open to students, educators, teachers, pedagogues, academics, scientists, and anyone interested in the use and application of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the field of education.
Those interested can learn more about the event on thesymposium’s website, where they can view the program and register as participants.
