AMBA was founded in 1967 in the United Kingdom by graduates of Harvard Business School, Wharton Business School, Stanford University , and Columbia University, and grants accreditation based on strict academic criteria. It is composed of distinguished academics and has by the world’s leading universities and business schools.
AMBA accreditation is granted following an analysis of more than a hundred criteria, covering aspects such as the institution’s history and development, facilities and libraries, the caliber of the faculty, teaching standards and research track record, student admission policies, student diversity and size, curriculum content, teaching methodologies, learning outcomes, and the quality of its graduates.
This achievement by the MBA program offered by the Graduate School of the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences comes after a process that has placed it among the top programs in the region. For the past 17 years, it has been ranked among the top 30 in the annual ranking published by América Economía, and it is the only program in Uruguay to be ranked among the top 20 in Latin America in the Eduniversal Business Schools Ranking 2012.
This accreditation represents a significant recognition of the academic quality of the faculty, students, and graduates of the MBA program, which began in 1990.
