On September 12, 2019, the 14th edition of the Job Fair took place in the lobby of the Downtown Campus; it is the only university-wide event that connects companies with technology professionals. This event, which has been held since 2006, is organized by the faculty’s Graduate Affairs Office and aims to bring students closer to the job market and provide a good platform for companies to promote themselves and recruit new talent.
This year, more than 40 companies participated, and over 2,000 students attended, according to preliminary information provided by the companies. Based on the students’ votes cast during the event, d-local was named Best Company, receiving 32% of the vote.
As explained by the graduate coordinator, Mag. Adriana Fernández, this year’s theme focused on how to prepare for the workforce, given the growing trend toward automation. “How can we ensure that professional profiles remain relevant and can complement a work environment where robotics plays a significant role?”

The event was designated as being of interest by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the Ministry of Education and Culture, as it served as a valuable opportunity for professional growth and exchange.
Aimed at students and graduates of the college, the Fair has established itself in the industry as a leading event for building an employer brand and recruiting talent among the most in-demand profiles in the market.
For the university, this initiative aims to create more and better opportunities for students. It is a university-industry partnership designed to contribute to the sector’s development and to foster new connections and opportunities for innovation.
