The event took place on October 30 in Room 106 of the School of Engineering and addressed topics related to security in the digital environment, the types of threats that exist, their evolution driven by artificial intelligence, and the protective measures users can take. In addition, the event highlighted the diverse career opportunities offered by the field of cybersecurity and the importance of introducing these concepts at an early age, regardless of the career path each individual chooses to pursue.
During the meeting, the more than 80 students were very engaged; they asked questions, shared their experiences, and showed great interest in the topics discussed.
"It was the first activity I did with the Foundation, but I was very excited about the prospect of continuing to work with them in the future," said Ethel Kornecki at the end of the workshop.
The Salir Adelante project, sponsored by B’nai B’rith Uruguay, aims to foster a sense of belonging among young people and provide them with the tools they need to stay in the education system, promoting their personal and academic development through various activities and workshops.
