Daniela Veneziani, Management Technician, he spoke about his time as a university student and his work experience as a sales analyst at AB-Mauri (Levadura Uruguay S.A.)

-In what year did you choose to study at Universidad ORT Uruguay, and why?

-I started my degree program in 2009. I chose to study at ORT because of its curriculum; compared to other options available, it was one of the universities with the most interesting degree programs, which met my expectations as a student.

-What did you value most about college?

-What I value most about the university is the academic environment, the ongoing interaction with professors online, and the integrity of all its departments.

-How did you come up with the idea of pursuing this degree?

-At the time I made up my mind, I was studying to become a math teacher, and I realized that wasn't the career path I wanted to pursue.

There, I began to consider the various options available to me, and after talking with family and friends, I decided to pursue a technical degree in management.

-How did the race go for you?

-I found the program to be excellent in every way—very interesting. I think the faculty is of a very high caliber, and they foster healthy personal relationships that facilitate learning. As for the curriculum and assessment methods, I found them appropriate for the level of achievement the university expects from its students.

-What do you remember about your college days?

-Tools that help you approach the job market from a different perspective. The required assignments are very enriching; they offer a learning experience that combines theory and practice in a more dynamic way,

-What would you highlight about the program?

-There are several aspects of the program worth highlighting, including its emphasis on teamwork, which provides students with the tools they need to succeed in the job market. Another important aspect to note is the constant updating of the curriculum.

-When did you start working?

-In the second semester of college, in 2009, I started working through ORT's job placement service.

-How did your degree prepare you for the job market?

-An effective teaching-learning process must, among other things, facilitate graduates’ transition into the job market by producing “high-quality” professionals. I learned to manage a range of situations, from the simplest to the most complex. To achieve this, I was able to act and react appropriately, know how to combine resources and mobilize them in a given context, know how to apply these same resources to other contexts, learn, and above all, learn how to learn. Furthermore, I had to know how to take risks, be entrepreneurial, make proposals, and take initiative.

-What are your plans for the future?

-My plans for the future are to continue my professional development so that I can perform my daily duties with a broader set of skills.
