La Casa Uruguaya 9th place in the Sustainable Cities category of the Latin American Green Awards

The project, which involves all of the university's academic programs, won first prize in the 2015 Solar Decathlon Latin America and the Caribbean international competition.

La Casa Uruguaya, a project that brings together faculty and graduates from all university departments, ranked 9th in the Sustainable Cities category of the Latin American Green Awards, and 106th among the top 500 projects selected from 36 countries and 679 cities across Latin America.

The project will be exhibited from August 14 to 16, 2018, alongside the top 500 entries in Guayaquil, Ecuador.

A technical committee composed of representatives from Latin America’s most prestigious universities, nongovernmental organizations, and experts on social and environmental issues from the public and private sectors made this selection.

The results of the competition were announced on May 25, 2018.
