The team competing in the cyber incident exercises will consist of one instructor and four students from the Cybersecurity Specialization Diploma program.
The group will travel on an all-expenses-paid basis to represent the School of Engineering in the competition.
This is a highly prestigious international recognition of the academic work being carried out at our university in the field of cybersecurity, and it is also worth noting that this is the first time we have received this type of distinction.

The Cyber 9/12 Strategy Challenge is an annual cyberpolicy and strategy competition in which students from around the world compete to develop policy recommendations for addressing a fictional cyber disaster.
Student teams will be challenged to respond to an evolving scenario involving a major cyberattack, as well as to analyze the threat it poses to the interests of the public and private sectors.
Teams will be evaluated based on the quality of their proposed policies, their decision-making processes, and their oral presentation before a panel of judges.
Through this process, teams will work with coaches at their institutions to develop their policy-making skills, and feedback from panels of expert judges will ensure that all participants have the opportunity to improve their skills and network during the competition.
