The lack of research on this topic in Uruguay prompted the authors to delve deeper into the subject and publish the article “Collaboration and the use of ICT as factors in teacher professional development in the Uruguayan educational context. Analysis protocol for a multiple-case study”.
This is a case study conducted at four elementary schools and four secondary schools in the department of Colonia, Uruguay.
The research was conducted by Mariela Questa-Torterolo, M.A.—a faculty member in the Master’s Program in Educational Management and the Master’s Program in Teacher Training at the Institute of Education—in collaboration with David Rodríguez-Gómez, Ph.D.—a visiting professor at the Institute of Education and a faculty member at the Autonomous University of Barcelona—and Julio Meneses, Ph.D.—a faculty member and researcher at the Open University of Catalonia.
The article was published in Cuadernos de Investigación Educativa, the peer-reviewed academic journal of the Institute of Education at Universidad ORT Uruguay. It appears in Volume 9, Issue 1, January–June 2018.
