The Uruguayan film *The Broken Glass Theory*, directed by professor Diego ParkerFernández Pujol, won the Best Foreign Feature Film Award and the Audience Award in the Foreign Feature Film category at the 49th Gramado Film Festival.
Filming took place mainly in the city of Aiguá, in Maldonado. It is a co-production with Argentina and Brazil, and received funding from the ICAU Development Fund for production and from the MVD Audiovisual Fund of the Municipality of Montevideo for post-production.
Fernández Pujol not only directed the film, but also co-wrote and co-produced it. At the university, he teaches in the Bachelor of Communication program with a focus on Audiovisual Studies.
The 49th Gramado Film Festival was held virtually from August 13 to 21, 2021.
"The Broken Glass Theory" opened in Uruguayan theaters on August 12.
