In her capacity as chair of the Accounting Research Committee of the Inter-American Accounting Association (AIC), Dr. Norma Pontet —academic coordinator of the Graduate School of Business—participated in the 10th Summit of the Americas hosted by the association, which took place in the Dominican Republic from October 10 to 12.
In addition, he chaired the annual meeting of the AIC Technical Committee, where the research projects to be conducted and presented in 2025 at the XIV Inter-American Accounting Conference were determined.
Dr. Nicolás Gambetta, academic coordinator of the graduate programs in Accounting and Taxation and professor of Corporate Sustainability at the School of Management and Social Sciences, also participated in the 10th AIC Summit of the Americas.
Gambetta also attended the 59th Annual Congress of the Latin American Council of Management Schools (CLADEA), held in Peru from October 16 to 18, alongside the dean of the school, Dr. Gaston J. Labadie.
Meanwhile, Marcos Segantini, PhD, professor of Entrepreneurship at the school, participated in the JBVI UDD Bootcamp on October 15–16, organized by the Journal of Business Venturing Insights at the Universidad del Desarrollo in Chile. There, he presented the article “The impact of policy information on students’ entrepreneurial intentions: evidence from a randomized control trial.”
