ORT University, Intellecta Design, and Tipografía Montevideo launched a series of events focused on outreach, discussion, experimentation, and learning in connection with the 2009 "Edward Johnston" National Typography Award of Uruguay (PNTU'09). On May 19, , the lecture “Typography: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow,” presented by Eduardo Bacigalupo, took place in the Auditorium of the School of Communication and Design. The speaker, a Uruguayan living in Brazil, is the designer of several corporate typefaces in that country. During the lecture, he shared his professional journey from the 1970s to the present day.
