Lecture at ORT by illustrator and cartoonist Janoj Piven

On June 7, the lecture "The Three-Dimensional World of Piven," presented by artist Janoj Piven, took place in the auditorium of ORT's School of Communication and Design.

The artist Piven was born in Uruguay but spent his teenage years in Israel. There, he studied illustration at the School of Visual Arts.

His illustrations and cartoons have been published in various magazines, including Amgen, Newsweek, Rolling Stone,The New York Times, andThe Washington Post.

Piven received the gold medal from the Society of Illustrators of New York for a caricature of Barbra Streisand and the silver medal awarded by The Society of Publication Designers.

Steve Brodner, one of the most renowned cartoonists in the United States, described his work as follows: "The art of the cartoon has been reinvented by the skilled hand, unique vision, and sharp wit of Janos Piven."
