As part of the Sports Journalism Technician program, a lecture titled "Sports Journalism in Today's Fast-Paced World: Information or Analysis? Accumulation or Interpretation of Knowledge?" was held on March 7 in the Auditorium of the School of Communication and Design. The lecture was given by Argentine journalist Juan Pablo Varsky, a commentator for the international network Fox Sports and host of the program *Fútbol de Primera*, which airs throughout the Americas.
Varsky has covered the last four World Cups, the Olympic Games, NBA Finals, Copa Libertadores, and Intercontinental Cups, with a style described as unique, thorough, and intelligent. He is a columnist for the newspaper La Nación, where every Monday he presents his original opinion, along with a ranking of the week’s top sports figures and events. Until 2006, he hosted the radio program “Por un puñado de dólares,” and he currently hosts the news program “No somos nadie” on FM Aspen.
