Lecture: "Revisiting Hamlet at the Holocubierta"

On Monday, September 26, 2011, the lecture "Revisiting Hamlet in the Holodeck" was held in the Communication Auditorium. It was delivered by Dr. Janet Murray, author of the book *Hamlet in the Holodeck: The Future of Narrative in Cyberspace* (Paidós, Barcelona, 1999). The lecture was organized by the Video Games Chair of the School of Communication and Design and the Ingenio incubator at LATU, as part of the 6th National Video Game Competition.

"Hamlet in the Holocubierta: The Future of Narrative in Cyberspace" is a book about interactive narrative and digital design. At the conference, the author analyzed some of the narrative conventions that have emerged in recent years in the digital world and discussed which of the ones she envisioned in her book have not yet materialized.

Murray is Director of the Experimental Television Laboratory in the United States. She is a professor in the digital media graduate programs at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She served on the Board of the American Film Institute and currently serves on the Board of thePeabody Awards.
