ORT Teacher's Guide Receives Major Accolades

*The Impossible Revolution: The Tupamaros and the Failure of the Armed Struggle in 20th-Century Uruguay*, by Alfonso Lessa, a professor in the School of Communication, has received several awards.

The Ministry of Education and Culture awarded him an Honorable Mention in the category of Essays on History, Biography, and Related Topics as part of the Annual Literature Awards.

He also received the San Fernando Dragon Award for his contribution to culture, presented by the Municipal Government of Maldonado.

Furthermore, the book was selected by the Institute of Press and Society, under the auspices of UNESCO, as one of the best Uruguayan research works of the past 20 years, and was included in its database of Latin American research.

In 2003, this book received the Bartolomé Hidalgo Award in the non-fiction category, presented by the Uruguayan Book Chamber.
