*The Dream of the Fish*, a book by Evelin Aixala, M.A., an instructor of Oral and Written Expression in theBachelor’s Program in Multimedia Design at the School of Communication and Design, was selected in February 2018 as one of the 100 children’s and young adult books recommended for reading by the Cuatrogatos Foundation Award.
The Cuatrogatos Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded in Miami by writers Sergio Andricaín and Antonio Orlando Rodríguez to promote culture and education. Among its main objectives are the research and study of Spanish-language publications aimed at children and young adults.
The jury selected 20 books for children and young adults (winners of the 2018 Fundación Cuatrogatos Award) and recommends approximately 100 titles for reading, by authors from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Spain, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
