The event was organized by the Academic Coordination Office of the Diploma in Business Logistics.
Logistics has long been recognized as an excellent tool for reducing both operating and capital costs, as well as a way to improve customer delivery service.
However, there are few successful models and applications that serve as a source of value for businesses and customers.
Prof. Jorge H. Chávez, one of the leading international consultants in logistics with a strategic vision, first presents a conceptual model of how to create value in an industry and then demonstrates how this model can be applied in a successful case study.
Professor Chavez has been awarded the 2003 Logistics Excellence Award, given to the individual who has made the greatest contribution to the development of logistics in Chile, by the Logistics Committee.
He is a member of the Council of Logistics Management (CLM) and currently serves as the academic director of the Diploma in Business Logistics program at Universidad ORT Uruguay.
He has been actively involved in consulting work in both Europe and Latin America, including several projects in Uruguay. His clients include major companies across various industries.
