This international accreditation places it among the select group of the world's top business schools (less than 6% hold the so-called " triple crown" accreditation).
In addition, the university's MBA program is the only one in Uruguay recognized by international observers as among the best in the region (América Economía Ranking, Eduniversal Ranking).
These accolades fill us with pride and a sense of responsibility. More importantly, they encourage us to continue exploring new course content and formats, to introduce new methodologies that yield better learning outcomes, and, ultimately, to keep innovating in business education in Uruguay.
In fact, a new MBA program was launched in 2014. This new program reinforces the values on which the Graduate School has historically been based and incorporates the latest global trends in business management education.
The values that the MBA continues to uphold and strengthen:
- personal and professional development based on knowledge and hard work
- high standards for learning that lasts over time
- development of management criteria based on sound principles
- a strong business focus combined with a commitment to ethics
The main points of the new proposal can be summarized as follows:
Format. Three concurrent courses over eight weeks, with one class per night (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays). This creates a very intense and demanding pace, characteristic of a learning-oriented program.
On the other hand, some activities require different formats, such as professional skills workshops and simulations; in these cases, the activities are concentrated into full-day sessions.
Integration. In addition to acquiring fundamental knowledge in business management, MBA students and graduates develop managerial judgment with a comprehensive view of organizations.
The program features three complementary strategies: two integrative courses at the end of the first year, a strategic simulation workshop, and a complete business plan for an innovative idea.
Customization. To enhance the learning experience, the MBA program encourages students to select eight courses in which they have a particular interest to support their personal and professional development.
In addition, the MBA program expects the business plan to be an original idea from at least one member of each working group, which has served as the seed for numerous startups and spin-offs.
Professional Skills Development. Graduates are not only excellent business analysts, but also decision-makers and implementers.
This requires professional skills focused on critical thinking, decision-making under uncertainty, and responsible leadership.
