Illustrator Janoj Piven taught a class in the Bachelor's degree programs in Graphic Design and Animation and Video Games

On May 8, 2012, illustrator and cartoonist Janoj Piven gave a master class for illustration students in the Bachelor’s programs in Graphic Design and Animation and Video Games.

Piven, who was born in Uruguay and lives in Israel, has had his illustrations published in major American magazines and newspapers such as *Time*, *Newsweek*, and *Rolling Stone*, as well as in European publications such as *The Times* in London and *Die Weltwoche* in Switzerland.

He studied illustration at the School of Visual Arts in New York. He is a contributor to the newspaper Haaretz (Israel).

His work is part of the permanent collection of the Prints and Photographs Division of the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.

He received the gold medal from the Society of Illustrators of New York for his caricature of Barbra Streisand and the silver medal from the Society of Publication Designers, among other awards.

His creative technique, which has been adopted by educators, therapists, and consultants as a tool for addressing psychological issues through play and creativity.
