Two groups of students in the Advertising and Editorial Design course—part of the Graphic Design program—guided by the course instructor, Vicente Lamónaca, M.A., worked on designing posters and social media content to support the non-governmental organization Mayo Amarillo in raising awareness about the importance of preventing traffic accidents.
This is the fourth consecutive year that Universidad ORT Uruguay with this project, which once again received support from the National Road Safety Unit (Unasev) and B'nai B'rith.
The jury, composed of Dr. Fernando Machado (director of the Emergency Department at Hospital de Clínicas and representative of Mayo Amarillo), Dr. Carlos Breitfeld (representative of B'nai B'rith), and Prof. María Eugenia Pérez Burger (representative of Universidad ORT Uruguay), decided to award first prize in the 2023 edition of Mayo Amarillo to the work of student Ignacio Viola. Second prize went to student Felipe Rodríguez, and third prize to student Joaquín Decaro.
In addition, the projects submitted by five other students were selected for special mention: Constanza Crosa, Catalina Lemos, Marcela Giacosa, Juan Martín Aguiar, and Micaela Sanabria.
