Annual MBA Dinner

On October 13, 2011, the MBA’s annual dinner was held at the Sheraton Montevideo Hotel. The event was attended by students, graduates from all graduating classes, and faculty members of the graduate program. Speakers included the Dean of the School of Business and Social Sciences, Dr. Gaston Labadie, and Guillermo Pons, a chemical engineer and 2008 graduate.

Both the dean and the graduate highlighted the role of the alumni community in Uruguay’s economic and social development, noting the country’s need for more MBAs. Dr. Labadie also spoke about the history and leadership of the MBA program at Universidad ORT Uruguay presented new initiatives and projects for the coming years.
