The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at ORT’s Graduate School of Business was ranked 11th in the 2023 Latin American MBA Ranking published by América Economía magazine on Friday, September 8, 2023.
Academic Strength
ORT's MBA program continues to improve in the most important areas of the ranking compared to other business schools in the region.
Within the " Academic Strength" category—the largest of the five ranking dimensions (30%)—the university stood out in the indicators "Student-to-full-time-faculty ratio " and " Part-time faculty members' experience in administration and business," ranking 5th and 6th, respectively.
Return on Investment
The Return on Investment (ROI ) dimension (20%), an important factor to consider before deciding which school’s MBA program to choose, also received significant recognition. This dimension includes, among other variables, the current average income of MBA graduates compared to their income prior to entering the program. In other words, it measures how quickly the financial investment in the MBA pays off.
In this category, it ranked 6th out of 37 in Latin America. The top 10 business schools are as follows:
The method
The Latino MBA ranking is based on five criteria:
- Academic Strength (30%).
- Return on Investment (20%).
- Network Power (20%).
- Internationalization and diversity (16%).
- Knowledge production (14%).
These, in turn, are composed of subdimensions with a set of indicators, the data for which is collected from the participating institutions. Thus, the final result is calculated as the weighted sum of the scores in each of the dimensions.
