In 2002, he began studying to become a certified public accountant. The following year, through his university, he began working at Gottex Fund Management. In 2006, he was selected by ABN AMRO Bank for its "Young Talents" program.

Ever since high school, Ignacio knew he was interested in finance. He chose ORT University because he felt that "the program was more focused on finance. I looked at the curriculum and found it interesting; plus, my uncle was familiar with ORT because he had taken a course there and gave me good recommendations."

Ignacio highlighted the group of people who were part of the daily classes. "The group of friends was amazing. The teachers are wonderful people and are always willing to help; some even give out their phone numbers so students can reach them if they have questions." According to Ignacio, the university has a good teaching methodology: "It was exactly what I expected; I had a really great experience."

In 2003, he decided to look for a job and found one through the university’s job board. “An investment fund was looking for someone, and the university recommended me.” He started working as an investment analyst at Gottex Fund Management. “I learned a lot there.”

In 2006, he applied for ABN AMRO Bank’s young talent program. “It sounded interesting; I went through the selection process and was ultimately accepted.” The program offers an internship that allows participants to rotate through different departments within the bank. “Right now, I’m working in the Van Gogh investment division. I find it to be a very enriching experience.”
