Meet the winners of the 2nd edition of the Spaghetti Challenge

On October 29, 2020, the entries were submitted and the durability tests were conducted for the second edition of the Spaghetti Challenge.

The School of Architecture at Universidad ORT Uruguay in Universidad ORT Uruguay the venue where contestants were able to test the strength of their structures—until they broke!

The jury, composed of architect Ramiro Chaer, architect Ricardo Romero, and construction engineer Luciana Miranda, awarded first prize to the team of Emiliano Cascardo and Germán Fernández from the English School, who received a 50% scholarship to pursue a degree in Architecture or a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design.

Second place went to Sofía Salgado from the Colegio Inglés, and third place to the team of Luciana Colombo and María Eugenia Cardozo, both from Liceo No. 4 Juan Zorrilla in San Martín.

All winners will receive a full scholarship for the course " BIM Methodology for Building and Managing Architectural Projects."

The event was open to 11th- and 12th-grade students from any academic track, or their equivalent in the UTU’s technical high school program.
