Meet the winners of the collaborative project with Pronto Maderas

Lucia Kaitazoff and Paulina Gauthier, senior students in the Industrial Design program, won first place in the academic project organized by the School of Design in collaboration with Pronto Maderas.

The awards ceremony took place on December 12 at Via Disegnoat 6:00 p. m.  

In attendance were students from the Industrial Design 4 course in the Bachelor of Industrial Design program; the course instructors, Pablo D'Angelo, M.A., and Maximiliano Izzi, M.A.;Pablo Soca, commercial director of Pronto Maderas; Daiana Pandolfo, B.A., a graduate of ORT’s Bachelor of Industrial Design program; and Micaela Musseti, B.A. 

Throughout the semester, students in the course worked in teams to design decorative and functional products for coworking spaces. These projects were carried out using CNC cutting, creating three-dimensional structures from flat pieces. 

The students, in turn, worked with melamine-faced medium-density fiberboard (MDF) panels from Guararapes, a Brazilian company whose panels are imported and supplied by Pronto Maderas

Contest Winners 

1st place

Lucia Kaitazoff and Paulina Gauthier. 

Prize: Production of the designed product, two melamine panels (color of your choice), and two hours of CNC machining.   

2nd place

Bruno Illa, Renzo Colla, and Agustín Varela. 

Prize: A melamine board (color of your choice) and one hour of CNC machining. 

3rd place 

Agustín Irrazabal and Julio Gómez. 

Prize: A melamine board (color of your choice) and one hour of CNC machining.
