Dr. Gaston J. Labadie, dean of the School of Business and Social Sciences, and Dr. Luis Silva Domingo, academic coordinator of the school’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) program, attended the Spring Network meeting, a Latin American network of business schools recognized for their focus on innovation and entrepreneurship.
The event took place as part of the AMBA (Association of MBAs) board meeting for Latin America, which was held from September 2 to 4, 2019, in Quito.
The main objectives of the meeting were:
1) Organize the 2019 and 2020 international travel schedule for students and graduates to destinations that are home to the world’s leading innovation ecosystems: Silicon Valley, Babson College, Israel, and China;
2) contribute to the development of pitch competitions so that students can attract the attention of international investors and have the opportunity to compete at the University of San Diego in California;
3) promote the Spring Network's participation in the John Molson School of Business International Case Competition at Concordia University in Canada;
4) Assess progress in attracting investors and companies to join the network’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
