Meridiano: Uruguayan company supports ORT's talent

May 12, 2004
On May 25, an exhibition of work created by students in ORT’s Bachelor of Interior Design program was held at the Meridiano company.

Meridiano is a company dedicated to the import, design, and manufacture of home and office furnishings.

The company will develop and market one of the projects submitted by the students.

The students' projects were completed as part of the Furnishings Workshop for the Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design.

This workshop was led with the participation of Meridiano’s technical staff and designers, who worked closely with the students throughout the design process and presented awards to two of the teams.

The first prize was awarded to Shirley Sales and Mauricio Capo for their project, Mr. Herveis. They each received a bookshelf as a prize and were invited by the company Meridiano to continue working on the product’s development.

The second prize was awarded to Alvaro Plana and Marcelo Rodríguez for their "Receptionist Module" project. Each of them received a coat rack as a prize.
