Among other topics, Fleitas also discussed what a real estate agent does, as well as the current state and reality of real estate agents in Uruguay, informality within the sector, and other problems they face on a daily basis.
When asked what a real estate agent is today and what kinds of tasks they perform, Fleitas said:
A real estate agent is a professional who must not only be knowledgeable about sales and negotiation, but must also go above and beyond: they must understand the law, real estate law, how to draft a contract (...) and must have the right tools.
