As has become tradition, the university will participate in Montevideo Comics with a booth located on the mezzanine level of the Sodre National Auditorium.

There will be an exhibition of work by Animation and Video Game students, including portfolios and final projects.

In addition, three video games and a traditional card game—also created by students in the bachelor’s program—will be presented, and the students will be on hand. Everyone is invited to play alongside the creators.

The convention will take place on May 28 and 29. This year, Montevideo Comics—dedicated to the development of comics, animation, and related activities—will be held across two buildings, featuring seven exhibitions, five workshops, two masterclasses, 13 lectures, 17 international guests, 22 hours of film screenings, 82 booths, and 7,000 free comic books, as well as 11 Uruguayan video games and a gaming area with more than 30 options.

According to Alejandro Erramún, academic coordinator of the Bachelor’s Degree in Animation and Video Games, the university is participating in this convention with the aim of “supporting the industry’s creative sector,” both in the creation and dissemination of national and international content.
