More than 100 graduates, faculty members from the Master of Business Administration (MBA)and theExecutive MBA (EMBA) program—a blended-learning format—as well as officials from Universidad ORT Uruguay gathered on the evening of October 31 at Sinergia Foro for an event focused on reunion, celebration, and inspiration, providing an ideal setting for networking.
The dean of the School of Management and Social Sciences, Dr. Gaston J. Labadie, opened the dinner by recalling the legacy of Prof. Charlotte de Grünberg, who served as director general from 1977 to 2024. In his remarks, he also provided an update on the progress of the new building for the Graduate School of Business, which is scheduled to open in 2025.

During the dinner, the most outstanding projects and professionals were recognized, both for their individual performance and for their contributions in their respective fields.

A more engaged generation
The award for the Most Engaged Class was presented to the MBA Class of 2022 (on-campus) for being the most active in efforts to strengthen the alumni community by participating in the various activities organized by the MBA program.
Academic Excellence
The Academic Excellence Award was presented to Florencia Pucciano, who holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and an MBA, for having the highest grade point average.

Best Business Plan
The award was presented to the team behind Alexandria Classrooms, a SaaS platform for managing online classes at small and medium-sized educational institutions. The platform was created by Maximiliano Báez, Gustavo Bermúdez, and Nicolás Levy. The mentor, Natalia Moreno, noted that the project democratizes access to certain tools, enabling more institutions to expand their reach and improve their efficiency.

2024 Outstanding MBA Alumnus Award
This year's Distinguished Alumni were Pablo García Peralta, COO and co-founder of Thaloz; Ana Inés Motta Iraola, Partner at Deloitte; and Hans Guiscardo, former Senior Manager at Latin America Cargo City.
The award was presented by Amanda García, who received the honor in 2023.

Ana Inés Motta Iraola was honored by the Alumni Community after receiving the most votes from her colleagues on the School’s LinkedIn page. She was presented with the Phoenix statuette, a work created by sculptor Raúl Sampayo.
For me, this award is a recognition I share with everyone who has been by my side throughout my professional career—people with whom I have faced both challenges and successes.
