This certificate program is designed for architects and civil engineers.
It arises from the growing need to rehabilitate the country’s exceptional architectural heritage—both on a monumental and domestic scale—while preserving its cultural values and incorporating the functional and comfort requirements demanded by today’s society.
The graduate program offers a comprehensive and integrated overview of building conservation and rehabilitation, addressing aspects of history, theory, restoration methodology, legislation, technology, and management.
The faculty consists of professors who combine solid academic training with outstanding experience in the field.
Several of them are active members of the International Council on Monuments and Sites, specialize in international affairs, and hold positions related to national heritage management.
On Thursday, March 27, an informational session will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium of the Pocitos Campus, during which the academic coordinator of the graduate program, Architect Rubén García Miranda, will provide a detailed overview of the structure of the Diploma, the curriculum, and the faculty.
Miranda is vice president of the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) Uruguay.
